Latest Progress (Part 2)

Carrying on from the last update, here's how things are progressing to date.

A load of fresh ballast was delivered to site in order to finish off the track bed in the platform area. The surplus from this will then be laid as maintenance ballast on the track that's already in place.

The end wall on the platform was the next job to be completed, involving lifting ten concrete sleepers into place. Here's a photo showing the final concrete sleeper being installed.

Then, the crane could swing into action, and put the new cabin into it's position. Here's the work team, wearing the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) monitoring the manovure.

A walkway was then required to be able to safely access the cabin, this will run from the platform to the decking that was already in place from the old setup. As you can see here, the work is well in advance.
